the ability to import pdf
the ability to import pdf files or underlay them and snap is great in theory but it requires a clean pdf to start with. Most pdf's are converted/scanned from tiffs so unless that changes it's not really all that helpful.
hmm good..
hmm good..
Different universe...
Most of the PDF files I run into at are vector. I love the PDF underlay function and TYVM, deskers.
And be a bit more precise, eh?
We have PDF underlay - ***NOT*** PDF import!
Thanks.
I guess by "import", you mean to take the vectors/text out of the PDF and place them in AutoCAD as linework/text?
BTW: We use the PDF Import function in ToolPac to do the above. If you really need this functionality, you might take a look.
Parametrics
I'm not too much surprised parametrics is not at the top.
Currently, it is yet to realize its full potential. Lot of capabilities need to be added and hopefully will be added. (Such underdeveloped features, unfortunately, is the by-product of Annual release cycle).
But in my opinion this will be the most important feature in a couple of years that will help AutoCAD to grow into a Design software rather that a design documentation software (as is evident by the popularity in this poll of pdf importing facility).
